Folk craftsmanship and souvenirs
Burdened by their family duties, housework, work in the field and in the stalls the women in Arvati still find time to attend to the craftwork, nowadays considered of artistic value. In a friendly working atmosphere, interspersed with songs and jokes, these women embroider, knit, weave and sew. Everything they make can be bought and taken as a souvenir from the Arvati village.
So there are plenty of souvenirs for you to give as a present to a dear friend: hand-made lace, famous bed covers or rugs, embroidered table linens and table cloths, sweaters, traditional dishes or a bottle of traditional drink (juices, wine, various brandies) or some special meals (we cordially recommend goat, cow or sheep cheese).
